Digital Projects!

 This week was really fun! We got to work on some actual digital design! lol Although I understand why we have to learn about photography in order to better manipulate photos and have a better creative outlook when making new projects, I found the first couple of weeks boring and difficult to maintain my interest if I'm being completely honest. I'm not a photographer but I have learned to appreciate the small details one can capture in the world when looking through the lens of a camera. This week I got to work on a portal project. Basically, I had to come up with a design based on 3 images I found on the internet. The first Idea I got was an Egyptian-inspired piece. I wanted to draw Anubis holding dominion over Egypt. Once I started searching for my images, I thought about how cool it would be to depict him standing in front of Egypt the way it is now. A shell of its former glory. I thought it would be pretty cool to show him angry as he returns to find his kingdom in ruins. So I went on interest and started looking for ideas. I looked up what Jakal looks like but settle on the ferocity of a wolf instead. At least for the snarling look, I was going for. I also looked up male models and Egyptian pyramids. I had fun doing this project and hope we have more like this. I think I did okay with the assignment but I'm sure with some more practice I can really get it down!
