Getting to work with Adobe Rush!
I really enjoyed this week's assignment. We had to use Adobe Rush to make a video based on lyrics. The song I chose was Just Imagine It by MKTO. I had never heard the song before but after hearing it spoke to me about protests and the fight to do what's right. I took this idea and ran with it. I made a quick storyboard and used my drawings to look for ideas on the internet. I mostly got most of my videos from Pexels the free creative source. Most of the protest videos I found had to do with the George Floyd protest of BLM. I found the footage to be pretty moving. I really enjoyed creating this project. I edited a bunch of videos and meshed them together to create the emotion felt during the protest. We also did a Director review on Tim Burton one of my favorite directors and artist. I really like his dark whimsical style and of course the stop-motion graphics he specializes in. It got me thinking more about what I would like to do as a profession. Tim Burton was one of my major influences growing up. I admire his attention to detail and his ability to create magical worlds. Truth be told I have always wanted to work in the film industry but was never certain I had the talent to accomplish my goals. I came to the conclusion that I have held many jobs that have been incredibly difficult, hated, and excelled in all of them. I can only imagine what I can accomplish if I do something I actually love. I think it's time to take that chance.
