What a Week

This week hasn’t been too bad, but it hasn’t really been too productive for me either. I think I might be getting burned out if I’m being completely honest. I guess I have been more worried about the classes I need to take next than anything else. I enjoyed last week’s animation so much I wanted to do more but I have been lacking the energy lately. I know the semester is almost over and I should finish string. I’m just tired, I guess. I have spent my time reflecting on my class time and wish we would have touched basis on the animation portion more or focused on it as much as we did on the photography portion of this class.

I have learned some of the fundamentals needed to get my comic book going.  I learned in my film class the importance of seeing film adaptations through a non-biased lens and accepting the difference between the interpretations of a story. For example, the film adaptation of The Lord of the Rings is significantly different compared to the book, but I believe equally wonderfully constructed according to their medium. Film class has also given me a broader understanding of how to construct storyboards by understanding how camera movements influence story progression and can instill emotions such as excitement or suspense in the viewer. I think now that I have a better understanding of how to use Photoshop and illustrator along with other creative cloud applications I'm going to dabble further and see what other projects I can come up with. I tried downloading Maya to my computer to try and lear how to 3D sculpt. I haven't figured out why I can't download it but once I do, I can't wait to see what I can create!
